Murdo’s statements taken from
Lecture#6 “Spirit is the Power that knows Itself”
(Pretoria 22nd May 1951)
(As relevant today as it was when said in 1951. Ahimsa)
To kill another is the greatest crime ever perpetrated on humanity. War, the deliberate
organisation of murder, is the greatest catastrophe that man can bring upon himself for with it
comes untold misery destruction corruption and degradation. Once we are engaged in organised
murder of others we bring in to our lives a host of other disasters.
This is what we see today, the enlightenment of the masses is as dark as Hades. Even our leaders,
in the churches, in the synagogues, in the Temples, in the Mosques, are all urging man would kill
one another to destroy one another for the sake of an ideology, or the sake of class, or the sake
of a particular of whatever it may be. The world is one world and all of the Children of God are
One Family. The world belongs to the people and everyone has a right and share to it in Gods
name. Through the Perfected-ness of the Christ and not through any dictatorship or politician, or
any ruling class, but through the Christ alone that stands clear of all and above all these things.
There is the saving of the race and the world.
I want you to think of what I am going to say: Each one of us is responsible for war for each one of
us has brought about the present conditions, consciously or unconsciously by our attitude
towards Life. We give preference to false values and disregard the Eternal values which the
Master so ably portrayed. We try to excuse ourselves by saying it is an act of God—God’s purpose
is living not killing.

|Dr Murdo MacDonald-Bayne was born in Scotland in 1887. During his lifetime he travelled
throughout the world healing thousands of people of all kinds of diseases and taught the Truth of
the Law of Being to many thousands more. Murdo MacDonald-Bayne was fondly referred to as Dr.
Mac by his students who often spoke of seeing him overshadowed by a higher being during his
lectures. It is said that he journeyed several times into India and Tibet where he spent long
periods (recounted in Beyond the Himalayas and it's sequel The Yoga of the Christ) in the company
of true Masters of the Tibetan Himalayas. There his powers to heal were strengthened and he
received greater enlightenment for his mission to reveal those profound teachings to the outside
world. The developed spiritual power and wisdom he acquired is reflected in the writings of his
first books, The Higher Power You Can Use and I Am the Life. After establishing spiritual centres in
several countries, Murdo MacDonald-Bayne lived in New Zealand/Aotearoa and Australia during
the early 1940s and by 1944 he settled in South Africa where he continued to heal and give
lectures twice a week, some of which are recorded. He also produced during this period Heal
Yourself, Spiritual & Mental Healing, What is Mine is Thine I & II, How to Relax and Revitalise
Yourself, Your Life Renewed Every Day. During a visit to England he passed over suddenly in
London, February 1955.We hope you enjoy your visit and look forward to your emails.

|Between 1947-54 Murdo gave weekly lectures in both Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa.
Over 100 of these lectures were recorded onto magnetized stainless steel 'wire' spools using a
portable Webster-Chicago Wire recorder (the forerunner of tape-recorders). Some later lectures
were recorded onto Reel to Reel magnetized tape.
For the first time since they were recorded you can now hear this Masters actual voice as it
sounded to his students. Listen to Murdo live in lecture
These recordings can be purchased in MP3 CD form, in boxed sets, see Mystica for further details.
